Mangroves offer a myriad of benefits to both human societies and ecosystems. Mangroves are a prominent ecosystem in Asia, with 39% of mangroves globally being found in Asia . Particularly in South-East Asia, mangroves have proven to be effective at carbon sequestration, coastal protection, cultivating rich cultural ecosystem services, bolstering significant economic value and supporting key functions in an array of ecosystems
